Literary Essay Scholarship Competitions
Xen: The end of Hate & Prejudice...begins with You
Avar Press is committed to recognizing
outstanding scholarship in high schools &
colleges. The Xen scholarship essay
competitions were first announced in
November 2005 and yielded superlative
entries and winning commentaries for 2006 &
2007. The detailed history of this free writing
contest can be found on the press page.
For 2008, Avar is continuing this tradition for
high school students in the US and Canada
and has extended the college competition
world wide. Winners will share up to $6750
for 2008. To date $5950 has already been
awarded and winning college essays were
announced on March 18, 2008.
